‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggests that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) decided to plead guilty and bargain a plea, but it was a bad move. The judge did not agree with the proposed 6-month sentence and has come down hard on Cain.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Trying to Save Carly Spencer (Laura Wright)
Drew decided that the best course of action would be to plead guilty and negotiate a sentence that would mean that he would be the only person to get time. He wanted to keep GH’s Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) safe from conviction.
He determined that it would not be easy, but that he would be able to do a six-month stint in the minimum-security facility, Spring Ridge. Upon filling Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) about his plans, he does begin to realize how difficult it will be for their daughter, Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante).
He knows that it will be a long time to be out of her life and she may not understand. Sam is upset because Drew is choosing this over his daughter.
Carly is against his decision in a way. She does say that, but she doesn’t really try hard to dissuade him. It seems like she is just thankful that he is willing to take all the blame, leaving her free.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) tries to help encourage Drew. He says that they will keep an eye on Scout and will help make sure Aurora continues to run smoothly in Drew’s absence.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Shocking Decision
The judge did not agree with the plea, even though the prosecution and defense were in agreement. He thought 6 months was too short of sentence. He is considering throwing the book at Drew and imposing the maximum sentence.
GH’s Zeke Robinson (Gavin Houston) tries to argue that the penalty should not be the maximum sentence because Drew does not have a record and the merger did not go through. Drew and Carly did not make any money on the situation.
The judge says that does not matter but does take Drew’s lack of a record into account. He decides to sentence Drew to three years in Pentonville. Everyone is stunned. Drew made this calculated risk with the idea in mind of what he could handle. This is not what he planned on.
