‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott) appeared on Maurice Benard’s podcast ‘State of Mind’ to talk about everything from mental health, to her family struggles and more.
It was a very emotion conversation, and we got to see a side of Davidson we probably would have never known otherwise.
In the interview, she tells a story about her father who struggled with depression and how he would lock himself away in his room for months and ignore everyone else.
Then, he would break it, come out and everything was supposed to be normal again. It was a harrowing story and one that must have been incredibly confusing for an 8-year-old Eileen Davidson.
“My conversation with Eileen Davidson was very emotional. We talked about everything, Housewives of Beverly Hills, Soap Operas, mental health, relationships, bipolar, etc. She was an open book and I absolutely loved having her on.”

On a lighter note in the conversation, Maurice asks about her husband and Eileen excitedly replied that they will have been married 20 years this coming week to which Benard just exclaims “Damn!”.
Topics jumped from one to anothe without pause and it felt like a very fluid and in control conversation and we were just along for the ride! Eileen was incredible, open and was not afraid to say what was on her mind.
Benard is a great interviewer and is able to get the best out of people seemlessly it feels like. He has had several actors and actresses from ‘The Young and the Restless’ but this one caught our eye and instantly became one of our favorites.
