Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are both out of ABC. After a mediation session on Thursday, sources close to the network informed everyone that ABC and the two “GMA3” hosts have cut relations. Both will get payments in accordance with their contracts.
The mediation was “extremely contentious,” according to ABC representatives, who accused Amy and T.J. of various wrongdoings in what one source called “a witch hunt.” According to the ABC staff, it was against protocol for Amy to have alcohol in her dressing room, which is one of the claims. The claim was deemed “ridiculous” by one source, who also pointed out that several of the bottles were provided by high-ranking ABC News executives. This appeared to be nothing more than an excuse to fire her because, according to the source, those executives also delivered alcohol to other on-air talent.

Amy was also accused of attending the College Football National Championship game a year prior and reporting to work the following day while intoxicated. One insider referred to that as “insane” adding that she was just exhausted. As for Amy and T.J., it became evident during mediation that they handled their relationship improperly by holding off on telling ABC executives about it. Additionally, ABC made it apparent that several ABC staff members found their “conduct on set” to be “uncomfortable.”
According to our sources, the mediation will go on while the parties discuss the specifics of Amy and T.J.’s departure. They were virtually treated as equals at the program in terms of position, thus the network’s original claim that the two had not broken any regulations when the relationship became public is a startling departure from the truth. The last time T.J. and Amy shared the “GMA3” desk was on December 2. As they looked into whether the couple’s relationship had broken any corporate regulations or if company resources had been utilized to keep it a secret, ABC executives removed them.
