Doja Cat outdid herself. The entertainer decided to make a splash for Fashion Week and boy howdy did she ever! She decided to be the main event at fashion week by covering herself in over 30,000 Swarovski crystals. She couldn’t let a simple dress be her fashion statement, rather she let her entire body be the statement!
She painted her entire body red to go with the crystals. Then again this is not like the first time Doja Cat has moonlighted with body paint, after all, she did in her music video for Kiss Me More when she painted her entire body pink in order to illustrate the fact that she was from another planet. (It worked.)

This time she reached into her otherworldly bag of fashion tricks in order to dazzle us and again it worked very well. We’re not too sure what galaxy she’s coming from with this instance but it’s clear that wherever she is from they use their entire body as the fashion statement and that’s what Doja Cat was doing this time.
Makeup Artists Pat McGrathband and Daniel Roseberry were the wizards behind this avatar-inspired look, they wanted the feeling of a live sculpture sitting at the Schiapperelli show so they conjured this red look. The final product took just over four hours and fifty-eight minutes to apply.
Even as a child, Doja Cat says that she played with makeup and fashion and says that school administrators would even get on her case and wonder why she was dressed to distraction, little did they know she was just practicing to be a fashion icon. Sometimes we truly don’t know what we’re preparing the younger generation for, but it seems to have come in handy.
Doja Cat looked really at ease in her red, crystal-studded get-up and really channeled the out-of-this-world vibes that McGrath was going for with that look. Clearly, fashion week 2023 will be an ensemble that people will be discussing for awhile. Stay tuned!!!
