Prince Andrew is kind of like that fly on the wall that you just can’t swat away. No matter how many times you try and make it go away, he just keeps on coming back over and over again. With that said, it seems like the Duke of York is desperate to make a comeback in 2022, despite having one of the worst years on record. Here’s why.
As many fans know by now, Queen Elizabeth’s second son stepped down from public life after being criticized for showing a lack of empathy towards Epstein’s victims and displaying a lack of remorse over his friendship with the financier, who killed himself while in prison, during his Newsnight appearance in 2019.
Prince Andrew’s Comeback In The Works – Here’s Why 2022 Was His Worst Year On Record
In the interview with presenter Emily Maitlis, the prince denied claims he had sex with Virginia Giuffre, who said she was trafficked by Epstein on three separate occasions, including when she was 17 – still a minor under law.
In April, Prince Andrew borrowed Sarah Ferguson’s Instagram account to share his thoughts on the Falklands War. He said he returned from the Falklands War “a changed man” in a piece of writing posted to his ex-wife’s account. However, the post was quickly deleted after just a few short hours. Prince wrote more than 700 words about his experience in the Falklands. The Queen’s son flew missions as a Sea King helicopter pilot during the conflict.
Prince Andrew might also get a pretty penny – actually make that a pound – in compensation if he’s forced out of his home. He currently lives in the Royal Lodge along with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. According to The Sun, documents state that the Duke of York is entitled of up to $9.5 million, should he be pushed out of his home. He apparently paid more than $1 million for a 75-year lease on the mansion back in 2003. That said, the lodge is reportedly worth around £30 million. Andrew had a £7.5 million refurbishment on the home.
Here’s hoping we’ll be able to see this on Hulu or Netflix. There are new reports that say Hugh Grant is being shortlisted to play the Duke of York in a new movie. The story behind the disastrous BBC Newsnight interview of Britain’s disgraced Prince Andrew will be made into a film. Screenwriter Peter Moffat is adapting a book by producer Sam McAlister, who clinched the controversial sit-down with Andrew about his friendship with pedo Jeffrey Epstein. United Agents confirmed the movie, to be called Scoop, describing the forthcoming film as “exciting news.”
