Anyone who knows the name David Dobrik is probably vaguely aware of the lawsuit that podcaster Jeff Wittek has against him involving the whole incident with his eye. For those unfamiliar, David Do rik pulled a stunt with a backhoe a couple of years ago where he was going to swing Jeff around, but something happened and Wittek’s head ended up being slammed into the side of the machinery causing him to have to have multiple surgeries on his eye.
Wittek claims that Dobrik really hung him out to dry and has now filed a lawsuit against him stating that he stopped responding to emails about his condition even though he had promised to pay all the medical bills from this incident.

You would think that anything that might remotely remind Dobrik of the incident in question would be off-limits. However, that didn’t seem to extend to the art pieces that Dobrik commissioned for his house. One in particular goes right in his living room, the place where he probably sits most often, and it is said to have been based on his own eye.
We thought Trisha Paytas took the cake when it came to have self portraits but this one is admittedly kind of ridiculous, even more so than Trisha’s strange glamour shots. It’s a giant sculpture of an eyeball dripping with blood.
Considering what he put Jeff Wittek through, it really does look to be in poor taste. Most people wouldn’t want something that was so blatantly gory in their living room, but Dobrik seems to elevate tacky to a literal art form with this monstrosity. As far as Jeff Wittek goes he hasn’t said one word about it yet, but one wonders what he thought of it if he spied that on Instagram at some point.
Of course Dobrik wouldn’t post such a thing on YouTube because apparently he doesn’t do YouTube anymore but instead focuses on Snapchat, IG, and TikTok. As far as Dobrik goes he really hasn’t addressed the giant eyeball in his house except to say that it was artwork based on his own eye… okay but, it’s still questionable. Stay tuned!!!
