My 600-Lb Life, the hit TLC show, is coming back next year for some new stories about Dr.Now‘s patients who need a lot of help on their weight loss journey. These patients have sought his help because they know that their lives are at stake. One of the previous cast members of the show, Liz Evans appeared in the sixth season of the show.

Fans of the show were shocked to see just how motivated she was, but losing weight wasn’t easy for her. She has kept her fans updated and now it looks as if her weight loss began small, but turned out tremendously!

My 600-Lb Life: Liz’s Weight Loss Story

When Liz first appeared on the show in 2018, she hadn’t been able to walk for over ten years. She had a lot of medical issues and was in and out of the hospital weekly. She was living in Texas with her mother and her mother was helping to take care of her.

Liz also had a birth defect that meant a leg one curved outward. This also made it difficult for her to walk. Because of this birth defect, she walked with a limp and was always in pain. When she was a child, she was bullied for her limp and she ran to food in order to escape.

Not only did she eat heavily, but she had no real support in her life because her father, who had a drug addiction, hardly ever came home to his family. The cards seemed to be stacked against her, but she was determined to lose weight and get her life back together.

She ended up qualifying, with Dr. Now’s help, for gastric bypass surgery and she was thrilled. She knew that this was the way to get back on track with her life. After following his very strict diet and exercise plan, she had the surgery and also had a mass removed from her leg. By the end of her time on the show, she had lost 464 pounds! She now weighs about 257 pounds, but still has some issues with binge eating.

She has mentioned to her fans that she has some old habits in her life that have made it hard for her to stick to her diet. She is still in therapy and trying her best to keep this weight off. She continues to work on herself and keep her head up knowing that she accomplished some big goals.
