Netflix has not confirmed that a third season will be streaming, but thanks to some Korean news sites, they are saying that a third season may, in fact, hit our screens soon. News has gotten to us from these Korean sites that Jun Ji Hyun, a South Korean actress, will be gracing our screens in Kingdom season 2:
The agency representing the actress, Culture Depot commented about her taking part in the new series saying ” It is true that Jun Ji Hyun took part in filming for ‘Kingdom’ season two. However, we cannot mention anything about the drama itself. We ask for your understanding.”

When asked if a third season will happen, the agency replied:
“The production has not been confirmed, but if it is confirmed and we are given an offer, we will positively review it.”
Another news source has spilled more. All K Pop’s article about Jun Ji Hyun taking a role in the series has confirmed that we might be watching a third season. The news site stated that Netflix tried hard to keep her casting a “secret”.
While we don’t know yet the role she will be playing, All K Pop states that she would play an important role as season 2 wraps up and that character will become a lead role going into season 3.
