Looks like we’re back to some character-building episodes, and CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are curious how many relationships are imperiled in this episode.
It’s always fun to see what new tropes will be pulled out to break a couple we like up, and it looks like the writers will go with the tried and true insecurity angle.
Let’s dig in for a closer look.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For September 6: Me or the ex
One thing that’s a constant in soap operas is insecurity, and it looks like Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will have plenty of that when she questions Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson)’s working relationship with Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan).
It’s not surprising given Chelsea kissed Billy and that he told Lily about it. But he ended his popular podcast when she asked him to and is intent on being the best COO he can be.
But that doesn’t mean that something won’t be bubbling beneath the surface with Lily as she’s got to wonder how honest Billy was with her and so on.
This should be an interesting scene as they try to work it out and continue with their relationship and lives.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For September 6: Adam does it again
This is going to be a fun one for ‘Young and the Restless’ as Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will confront Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) that he knows what he’s trying to do to hurt the family.
Once again, Victor won’t understand where Adam gets his lack of morals from, to which Adam will point out he’s not planning anything. He’s moved on from Victor’s world and is starting fresh.
He’ll even come right out and tell Victor he’s working with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) at Jabot, and that’s got to tear a hole in Victor’s heart somewhere.
It may also ignite the old Newman-Abbott family war as we doubt Victor will sit back quietly while one of his children exercises their right of free will with his longest rival.
Victor will want Adam working for him with his siblings or nowhere else, and we expect the plotting and manipulations will commence once more as Victor will seek to force his son to return rather than allow him to find his path.
Maybe Victor will surprise us and let Adam go, thinking he’ll be back when he fails.
