Fans of 90 Day Fiancé were shocked to hear that Emily Bieberly had purchased an engagement ring for herself. She didn’t know if Kobe Blaise would be able to afford to buy a ring for her, but when she finds out that he did, she feels really bad about it. Emily knows that she has to tell Kobe that she bought this ring and she decides to do so with all of her family around.

Emily begins to really regret that she bought a ring for herself and she tells the cameras, “Seeing this side of Kobe, and realizing he went through all the trouble to go out and find the ring, set up this nice fay and give it to me, I’m feeling really, really guilty now that I bought my own ring.”

While they are all together and having champagne, Emily gets the ring out of her purse because she can’t stop feeling guilty about the ring that she bought. She tells him, “I mean, I guess I should confess something.” She hands him the box and he gets very upset.
Kobe asks her why she bought this ring and she told him that it was just because she liked it. Then Kobe says to her, “You’re giving me the impression like you felt like I couldn’t do it. Or, I couldn’t afford you an engagement ring, or what?”
In a confessional, he adds, “I worked so hard for us to have a quality time together. But, she coming out with another ring, it’s like, kind if like, raising eyebrows on trust issues. You don’t trust my word, you don’t take my word. You try to underlook me. After a beautiful moment we’ve had, I feel so insulted. Like, seriously. It’s really hurtful.”
Viewers have already gotten a bad feeling about how Emily feels as if she has to control their relationship. She has been a single parent to their son for so long that she feels that Kobe can’t do anything right to help out with their son. This ring purchase seems as if it may tear these two apart. Will this be the factor that pulls Kobe even further away from Emily?
