When Biniyam Shibre first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, he shared his story. In that story, he mentioned that he had an ex-wife and that they had a child together. When their son got very ill, she wanted to take him to the best doctors and Ethiopia was not what she had in mind.
She took him back to the states, where she was from and she never came back. He had these same fears when Ariela Weinberg took their son, Avi to the states to see doctors as well. Now it looks like he is ready to file for joint custody of his first son since he is in the states.

We are not sure if Bini’s ex-wife has given him a chance to see their son yet. He is in the states and feels that this is the best way he can see his son. Fans of the show have been searching high and low to make sure that they can find the documents that Bini has filed.

These documents currently state, “providing the petitioner visitation rights with the respondent having custodianship and guardianship of S.B.S.” When his ex-wife took Simon back to the states, Bini told his fans that he did try to get to America so he could be part of his life. He was never able to get his visitor’s visa at that time though. It has been years now since he has seen Simon.
Reddit users feel as if this could be the next part of their storyline on the show. Some even think that if they do get married and do a season of Happily Ever After, this could be the main storyline. There have also been fans who think the legal stipulations seem odd since he has yet to get his K-1 visa and that could be something he runs into when this is complete.
We have not seen a lot of talk on the show about Simon and that could be because of Bini’s ex-wife not wanting to be a part of the show. It seems that they had quite the crazy marriage and as much as he doesn’t want this to happen again, he chose another American woman to be with. What will happen with this case and what will happen with Ariela and Biniyam this season? We will have to watch 90 Day Fiancé on Sundays to find out.
