Tim Kennedy has been on the Joe Rogan Experience a number of times, but his latest interview may be one of the most eye-opening. While we are all aware that the withdrawal from Afghanistan was an absolute nightmare, Tim and a handful of others went in as a small group to rescue those left behind.
In his story, Tim gets very honest about the brutality of the Taliban, what he witnessed and what most Americans weren’t told and shown. The truth is horrific, and hearing the 10 days that Tim was there trying to bring these people home was harrowing. These people lived and were from Afghanistan but worked with the U.S. government against the Taliban, and were ultimately left behind.
Tim Kennedy Tells The TRUTH About The Afghanistan Withdrawal And How He And A Dozen Others Rescued Thousands Left Behind
Kennedy tells Joe how they set up shop, the airport they used, and how they would go about verifying the people they saved to make sure they didn’t bring back any terrorists. Tim also told the dreadful truth about how they couldn’t save everyone. They didn’t have the space or the documents to accept others and were forced to leave them in hiding.
Perhaps the most horrifying was the story of women trying to get their babies to the safety of the airport. They would try to crowd surf them to the walls, or even try to throw them over the walls. Tim recounted some of the bodies he had to step over to save other people, and how he’s still sane at all is mind-boggling.
The worst part is that it took Tim and a dozen people to make this happen, instead of the U.S. government and military. If they hadn’t gone over, thousands more would be dead.
