In the last episode of 90 Day Fiancé, we saw some issues coming up with Miona Bell and her fiancé, Jibri Bell’s mother. Miona isn’t feeling comfortable in their home in South Dakota and she is ready to move to California.
Jibri asked his mother why he treated Miona the way that she did, but then she turned it around on him and tried to point out that he was feeling pressure from Miona and taking it out on her. Now it looks like they have another stage in their relationship coming up and that is meeting Jibri’s grandmother.
90 Day Fiancé: Will His Grandmother Approve?
The couple shows up at her house wearing matching pink plaid coats while his grandmother is working in her barn. He calls her “the coolest grandma in the world.” He tells the cameras, “My grandmother is a wild, strong, radical, lesbian, feminist. Me being an unruly child and especially a wild teenager, my mom and I would fight and I would go to grandmas. She would kind of be like, the safe place, the safe haven. I really hope my grandma likes Miona because she has always been there for me. That’s my heart, man.”
90 Day Fiancé: Jibri Bell Introduces Miona Bell to His Person
Miona straight away asks her if they can help her with something and of course, she says that she could definitely use their help. Jibri looks at her and says, “You don’t know what you just got yourself into.” She mucks the stalls for a bit and mentions that she is wearing her nice shoes. Jibri’s grandmother tells her that this is a normal, daily activity in South Dakota and under her breath she says, “I can’t wait to get out of here then.”
When Miona is asked about Rapid City, she tells his grandmother that she does want to move out of there. Jibri interrupts her and says, “But it’s a good place to save money, so don’t speak for both of us when you say that you don’t want to live here.”
His grandmother asks about what it is like to live with his mom and Miona mentions that they have a lot of rules. His grandmother laughs and says, “That would be Mahala.” She then added, “I understand her thinking because this is South Dakota and this is one of the most conservative places in the country. Maybe in some way, she’s trying to protect you. Take it with a grain of salt, she’s a little bit more conservative than me, her mother.”
Miona and his grandmother seem to be really bonding over this chat and she has smiled more in this scene than in most of the show already. Maybe things are looking up for her.
