More information regarding NFL quarterback Dwayne Haskins‘ death has come out and in reports released on Monday it says Haskins ‘drank heavily’ and ingested ketamine in the hours leading up to his death. His blood-alcohol level was also at .24 at the time of the incident.
A rep for the Pittsburgh Steelers told investigators that Haskins had trained all day in Miami before going out to the clubs that night with a friend or cousin. He had too much to drink and wound up in a fight. It was hours later that his body was found on a Florida highway after being hit by a dump truck.
QB Dwayne Haskins Medical Examiner Report Shows He Had .24 BAC And Ketamine In His System
Investigators found Haskins’ car with an unknown woman inside who told them that Haskins had gotten out of the car to go to a gas station after running out of gas.
They ruled Haskins’ death was due to multiple blunt force injuries and that it was also an accident.
Since his death, several memorials have been held for him and his wife, Kalabrya, also got a sleeve of tattoos to remember her late husband.
Haskins was just 24-years-old.
What does his blood alcohol level and the ketamine in his system mean? He was out drinking heavily and either was slipped ketamine or took it willingly, though it looks like it probably didn’t contribute to his death.
