The same man who rushed and tackled Dave Chappelle on-stage is also apparently a fan and used him as an inspiration to launch his own rap career naming a song after him.
Isaiah Lee, the 23-year-old who attacked Chappelle is a self-proclaimed rapper by the name of NoName_Trapper and has a song on his 2020 album titles ‘Dave Chappell’ (spelled wrong) which is also available on Spotify.
The lyrics are confusing to say the least, and if you give it a listen, please let us know what you think he’s trying to say in his song.
The 23-Year-Old Who Attacked Dave Chappelle On Stage Had A Rap Song Named After The Comedian
Lee has a social media following with 32k followers and only follows a few himself, including Dave Chappelle. He shared a strange video of himself with a filter to give himself horns and a bloody nose.
He then rushed Dave and tackled him while he was recording for a new Netflix special at The Hollywood Bowl, holding a knife that appeared to be a gun.
Dave took the hit before his team rushed in and beat Lee to a pulp, including none other than Jamie Foxx! He was beaten and booked for felony assault with a deadly weapon, being held at a $30k bond.
In photos following the beat down, it appears his elbow is dislocated and he has a black eye with several bruises and blood covering his face.
Many feel that the attack of Chris Rock has opened a precedent for comedians to be attacked on stage and comedy shows around the United States have began to buff up security worried that they could be next.
