We reported a few weeks ago that Bill Murray had found himself in hot water on the set of his new film, Being Mortal. He was accused by someone of the cast and crew of acting inappropriately on the set. He took some time to himself before he publicly opened up about it and his fans were happy to see him sharing what was going on.
Bill Murray Speaks Out
He told his fans that he “had a difference of opinion” with one of the women who was working on the movie. “I did something I thought was funny, and it wasn’t taken that way. As of now, we’re talking and we’re trying to make peace with each other. I think that’s where the real issue is, between our peace. We’re both professionals, we like each others’ work. We like each other, I think, and if we can’t really get alone and trust each other, there’s no point in going further working together or making the movie as well. It’s been quite an education for me.”

Murray went on to say, “I’ve done not much else but think about it in the past few weeks. We’re talking about it. I think we’re going to make peace with it. I’m very optimistic about that. I think it’s a sad dog that can’t learn anymore. I think that’s a really sad puppy that can’t learn anymore. I don’t want to be that sad dog and I have no intention of it. What would make me the happiest would be to put my boots on and for both of us to go back to work and be able to trust each other and work at the work that we’ve both spent a lot of time developing the skill of. And hopefully, do something that’s good for more than just the two of us, but for a whole crew of people, the movie makers and the movie studio as well.”
The studio emailed all of the cast and crew and told them they were halting the movie because of an incident. They did not point out the woman in question and they did not describe the incident. It looks like Murray is ready to work things out with this woman and hopefully, they can get back to filming the movie and better understand the way the other acts and speaks. This seems to be a big learning lesson for Murray.
