‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers tells that fans have all been hoping and praying for a return for Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) so that Dr. Hamilton Finn () can get some closure and little Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) can have her Mommy back and it looks like at least in instagram we were not disappointed.
Budig posted an adorable picture of her and little Jophielle Love along with the caption, “Had a sweet visitor today” which warmed all of our collective hearts, and gave us some hope, even if their on-screen reunion hasn’t exactly happened yet.

One fan even theorized that it could be Hayden that’s currently stalking Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) but why she would be resorting to terrorizing her sister instead of just sending a text and asking to meet for coffee is a bit beyond us, then again it’s a soap we’ll suspend our disbelief for a minute or two.
Last summer when Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) re-appeared in Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) dungeon in the cell next to him was an unidentified female who was screaming which some fans speculated to have been Hayden, who left town after being told by Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) that she was in danger from said Uncle…
If that is indeed Hayden then we guess he wasn’t wrong. But it does beg the question of whether or not Nikolas actually gave her false information in order for her to run right into danger instead of staying in Port Charles which might have kept her away from it, ultimately. I mean, it’s Nik Cassadine he’s done worse.
Hayden’s Mother, Naomi Dreyfuss (Gigi Bermingham) showed up in Port Charles last year and seemed to know exactly where Hayden was but was murdered by Victor Cassadine before she could tell anyone unfortunately.
This gsve fans some hope that Hayden was on her way to returning because hey who doesn’t show up for their own Mom’s funeral? But sadly as of Decmber 2021, Budig posted to instagram saying that as yet the soap has not asked her to return as Hayden yet – but don’ t fret just yet – she has not been recast!
So there is still the distant hope that she could return… someday. It won’t quite be Greenleigh Smythe and Ryan Lavery, but it would be interesting to see. Stay tuned!!!
