Deion ‘Primetime’ Sanders has ended up losing two toes during his battle to recover from a foot surgery. The NFL legend announced the issues in an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday. While previewing the next episode of ‘Coach Prime’, Sanders revealed that his big toe and second toe on his left foot had to be surgically removed several weeks ago.

“I told y’all we were gonna show it all in this documentary and that’s what this is. I got to warn ya This ain’t a pretty sight! I may have lost a couple soldiers in the battle but I never lost my faith in God! I endured a lot while I was in the hospital during our historic season but I am so thankful for GOD being there to help pull me through.”

In the teaser for the next episode, you can see the mangled foot and while a lot of it is blurred out, you can definitely see how serious it is. Initially, he had surgery on an injury in the fall, however, the recovery never really kicked in. He struggled to heal his foot and needed a wheelchair and scooter to get around.

Ultimately it required 8 surgeries and unfortunately, one of those surgeries required him to lose his two toes.

Sanders also promised that he would reveal more about the complications and struggles he went through in the new episode that will be coming out on Barstool’s YouTube channel.

While it may not seem like a huge loss for many people who are struggling, to see where Primetime was before, and how he played his game, his feet were everything. To lose something that made you who you are almost, would be devastating.
