Seattle Seahawks Russell Wilson is on the move to the Denver Broncos PENDING a physical and his approval. The teams came to an agreement in a blockbuster trade that would see Seattle give up their superstar quarterback Russell Wilson and a fourth-round pick for quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, two first-round picks, two second-round picks, and a fifth-round pick.
This has come as a shock to Seattle fans who have been hearing nonstop from Wilson and Seattle coach Pete Carroll that a trade was not going to happen and that Russell wanted to retire in Seattle. However, it looks like things may have gotten too big and now the blockbuster trade is in the works.
NFL Blockbuster: Seattle Seahawks Agree To Trade Quarterback Russell Wilson To The Denver Broncos!
Wilson is expected to waive his no-trade clause, as that’s the last obstacle to completing the trade. As of this moment, there is a small chance that the trade could not go through if Wilson decided it wasn’t for him. Though it definitely looks like it will be happening, and the nine-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion will be returning to Mile High to play for the Broncos rather than beating them in the Super Bowl.
The trade can’t be officially announced until Wednesday, May 16 at 4 p.m. ET, which is the start of the 2022 league year. There is a lot of time between now and then and anything could happen. As of now though, this is one of the most surprising moves since Tom Brady left New England to go to Tampa Bay.
