‘Wheel of Fortune’ host Pat Sajak has jumped to the defense of many contestants after three “dumb” players were mocked online for taking eight turns and ten attempts to solve an easy puzzle on Tuesday night’s episode. Sajak took to Twitter on Wednesday and told viewers to “have a little heart.”

“It always pains me when nice people come on our show to play a game and win some money and maybe fulfill a lifelong dream, and are then subject to online ridicule when they make a mistake or something goes awry,” Sajak stated.

Sitting at home, under no pressure and no lights and cameras, it may seem like an easy puzzle, but put yourself in their position and things change a little.

The puzzle came down to “Another feather _n yo_r _a_” and while it may have been obvious at home, the three contestants had a hell of a time trying to figure out the phrase.

Of course, people on Twitter continue to ridicule the players and the clips have been circulating online as the “most painful 2 minutes in television history.” Even stars like Josh Gad took a minute to jump in and mock the folks playing the game.

You know, for a “society” where we are constantly bombarded by “treating others with respect” and “everyone’s living their own truth”, the internet sure is fast to jump on people they deem to be stupid, but don’t take 2 minutes to back up and look at themselves. I’m sure all of you have never done a stupid thing in your life. Oh yeah, it just wasn’t televised. Go sit down you hypocrit.
