Simon Leviev, better known as the “Tinder Swindler” from the Netflix doco of the same name may have though he was Teflon coated after serving barely any time behind bars for his crimes of swindling hundreds of women out of money to the tune of an alleged $10 Million dollars.
Now the fake Leviev is being pursued by the real Levievs- Lev and Olga, the true diamond billionaires whom Simon claimed were his parents in an effort to keep up the appearance of being filthy rich.
(Presumably well paid) lawyers for Lev and Olga Leviev filed a criminal court complaint in Israel against Simon and are adamant justice will be served for “the malice brought against the Leviev name.”
‘Tinder Swindler’ Simon Leviev Heading Back To Court As Diamond Magnates Sue
The court docs filed outline the ways in which Simon took advantage of the family, including changing his legal name from Shimon Yehuda Hayut to Simon Leviev in a bid to claim he is the “Prince of Diamonds”.
The Levievs have promised to wage an “all-out legal war” on the swindler and pledge to donate any monies they are confident they will receive in retribution to the victims of Simon’s crimes.
Meanwhile, the fake Leviev is not allowing anything to get him down. In fact, he seems to be riding the wave of infamy for everything it’s worth.
In three days he allegedly made $30K in Cameo appearances and now he is demanding quite the fee and a certain set of demands for physical appearances.
Sadly, there are clubs from the U.S. to Germany to Mexico lining up to hand over a cool $20K to Simon to pop bottles and party in their establishments. Unsurprisingly, Simon is interested, and ‘his team’ has sent these nightclubs a laundry list of demands which includes a private jet, a suite at a 5-star hotel, black SUV car service, and 2 full-time security guards.
While it was initially presumed these cashed-up appearances would help with the down payment on the Ferrari he was seen shopping for in Tel Aviv last week, it could now be that Simon is building a nest egg that will go directly to his lawyers as he battles his (faux) namesakes.
