Netflix’s latest documentary hit, The Tinder Swindler has struck a chord with audiences, and most were deeply unsatisfied with the resolution. If you haven’t watched the documentary yet you can turn around now…. or….
Or, you will learn that, even though the super-duper did spend some time in jail, in a matter of months he was unleashed back onto the world while his victims are still paying back the loans they took out to (unknowingly) fund his lavish lifestyle.
Though the doco finished by saying Simon was back on Tinder, and had a model gal pal by his side, Tinder recently made a statement that the heart- and wallet breaker- was permanently banned from its platform.
‘Tinder Swindler’ Simon Leviev Banned From Dating Apps, Making A Go Of It In Hollywood!
A Tinder spokesperson told TMZ that Simon, or the rose turd by any other name, had violated their terms of service- specifically impersonation and asking for money. Shortly after, the Match Group, who own and operate Ok Cupid, Hinge, Plenty of Fish, OurTime, Meetic, Pairs, and, of course, Match also banned the master manipulator from their platforms. They cited the fact that Simon had violated of Tinder’s terms and that meant he was not allowed on their apps, too.
While this, and a scathing documentary that detailed his scams, has made it exponentially more difficult for him to operate, it seems Simon has found a new fast forward button to fortune…with a side of fame.
Yep, The Tinder Swindler is cashing in hard on his 15 minutes of infamy and is heading to Hollywood.
According to TMZ’s sources, Simon has signed with Hollywood manager, Gina Rodriguez and the pair are already hard at work concocting ways to parlay Simon’s newfound ‘popularity’ into a book deal, a dating show starring role and a dating podcast where he will share dating do’s and don’ts.
We wish we were kidding.
It’s no shocker Simon fancies himself as a new-age Bachelor and wants bevies of women to vie for his love and, sadly, we’re sure there is a group of women out there all dying to capture their 5 minutes of fame by signing up for that dumpster fire.
Simon is also apparently claiming that the Netflix doco, that alleged he swindled girlfriends out of their money to spend on the next catch who would then fund the lifestyle he needed to woo his next victim and so on and so forth, got him all wrong (and the string of psychotic voice mails to Alyeen??? Nothing to say there, Simon?). Now he’s looking to ‘clear his name’, and image.
Good luck, dude.
