Rumble is offering Joe Rogan a $100 million deal to join the Canada-based video platform in an attempt to pull him away from Spotify amid their controversy lately. They released a letter on Twitter from their CEO and ended it with, “And yes, this is totally legit.”

    The offer read,

“We stand with you, your guests and your legion of fans in desire for real conversation. So we’d like to offer you 100 million reasons to make the world a better place,” Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski wrote in a note shared on Twitter. “How about you bring all your shows, both old and new, with no censorship, for 100 million bucks over four years? This is our chance to save the world. And yes, this is totally legit.”

In a response to the controversy, Spotify said it would add a content advisory to podcasts on the platform that discuss coronavirus. Rogan had even said that he was fine with this… Spotify also said that they removed over 20,000 podcasts that discussed coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic.

Spotify also removed a number of Rogan’s podcasts and still their CEO Daniel Elk said he did not believe in silencing Rogan. However, this has caused Spotify’s stock to drop and many people leave the platform. While it’s highly unlikely that Rogan will jump ship, it’s an interesting offer to see what people are willing to offer for free and open speech.

Rumble was founded in 2013 and continues to grow. While it’s not as big as Spotify yet, they seem to be able to cash the checks.
