There’s a new report that days Prince William was super involved in stripping Prince Andrew from his titles this week. This all comes after Virginia Giuffre slapped a lawsuit at the royal, as she claims that she was trafficked to him by Jeffrey Epstein and forced to have sex with the Duke of York when she was still a minor. While it was Queen Elizabeth who pulled the plug on her son and took away his royal titles and patronages, one royal expert says that Prince William has been the driving force behind the decision. Kristin Contino claims that Queen Elizabeth has been getting a lot of her advice from her grandson William lately.
Prince William Involved In Stripping Prince Andrew From His Titles
“William, in fact, was very involved in this decision, and it’s been said that he met with the queen in person ahead of their announcement that came out last week,” Contino told Us Weekly. “I think that really shows – and I think that’s interesting – his growing influence and how she trusts his judgment and is looking for his advice. And I think that’s a great sign of things to come for William and how much she is relying on talking to him and his counsel.”
Of course, Contino also added that Prince Charles has been heavily involved in talks about Prince Andrew’s future, seeing how he is the future king of England as well.
“Charles, of course, was involved in that decision too,” the author told the outlet. “But I think [what] a lot of people thought was interesting is William’s heavy involvement in that. So I think she really is leaning on her two heirs at this time [to] help make those sort of big family decisions.”
Earlier in the week Buckingham Palace confirmed that the queen had accepted the return of Andrew’s titles in a statement to the press.
“With The Queen’s approval and agreement, The Duke of York’s military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to The Queen,” the statement said. “The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen.”
