    Prince Harry

Prince Harry has been backed in his bid to overturn the decision of the Home Office in the UK which has prevented him from funding his own security if he were to arrive in the UK.

According to reports, Harry no longer feels that it is safe for him to visit unless he was allowed to personally ensure that his security was well taken care of.

And given that he has two children, coupled with the fact that this would be the first time he would be visiting the UK ever since his controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey, he will not want to leave anything to chance in that regard.

And yet, by engaging in a legal battle, this is hardly going to paint Harry in a good light, especially if he ends up losing his case. Dai Davies, who happens to be the former head of Royal protection, felt that Harry’s conduct was out of line.

In an interview, he said: “[Harry] can’t just pick and choose. [He should] keep quiet for a little while, that will lower your profile a great deal”.

Nevertheless, the response on social media was more in favor of Harry. A significant proportion of people felt that he should be allowed this privilege, especially given everything he has been through in his life.

Not only did he take great courage in deciding to walk away from the Royal family in 2020, the very fact of the matter is that he has seen his loved ones suffer at the hands of inadequate security.

This was most visibly seen when his late mother Princess Diana had died in a car crash in Paris, where clearly things could have been handled a lot better.

One person on social media wrote: “This brutal disregard for that boy’s feelings enriched a lot of media outlets that day. That boy’s trauma was made into a spectacle.

“He is owed protection now,” while another stated: “‘Lower his profile a bit’?! He doesn’t need to do that! UK needs to protect him & his family.”

Ultimately, if Harry wants to pay for it, then who are we to question otherwise. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
