‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers reveal that a lot of fans want to know and thankfully, Rebecca Budig is offering some insight into the matter. The actress, who is best known for her role as Hayden Barnes on the hit ABC soap, recently clarified her status on the show. Here’s what you need to know.
According to Soap Opera Digest, Rebecca addressed the rumors that she may be headed back to Port Charles as Hayden. “I am getting bombarded with that question, honestly,” she told the publication.

However, it doesn’t look like Hayden is coming back anytime soon. She said, “Listen, I love [Executive Producer] Frank [Valentini], and Frank and I are friends, but I haven’t been asked back since I left the show [in 2019].”
As many fans know, Rebecca has always been a prominent cast member on the show, Back in 2020, she opened up about her nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress during that year’s Daytime Emmy Awards. Rebecca told SoD that the moment she found out that she was nominated was one that she will never forget!
The actress said, “My first call was rom Alicia Minshew who was like, screaming her head off, so excited. Then Frank Valentini called, which was very nice, and we ended up talking for about 40 minutes and catching up, since he hadn’t talked since I left the show. Michael Easton was the first one to text me. He was very happy for me.”
The actress also said that she had a social distance celebration with fellow nominee, ‘Young and the Restless’ star Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott). Recalling the moment, she said, “It was great! He lives right up the street. It felt odd to be, like, out of the house and having a drink with someone, but it was really nice.”
