‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Rebecca Budig Comments On Potential Return To ‘General Hospital’

‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers tells that fans of GH have been wondering whether or not Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) will ever return to Port Charles because she left kind of quickly after Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Columa) popped back into the picture and intimidated her into leaving.

She left her baby girl, little Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) in the care of Daddy Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and just skipped town, leaving the rest of us to wonder when on earth she would be back.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Rebecca Budig Comments On Potential Return To ‘General Hospital’

Well, recently, there had been rumors that she had been offered the role again and that she had turned it down! We’re not sure where they got started, but in an exclusive with Soap Opera Digest, Budig sat down to discuss this very rumor and assured fans in the interview that while she and Executive Producer Frank Valentini are friends, that “I haven’t been asked back since I left the show in 2019.” so we guess that answers that.

Now, who on earth could have started such a vicious rumor that she had turned down the role of Hayden Barnes? It was speculated on whether or not the role might be recast and the rumor might have spawned out of those speculations, but speculation is just that… speculation.

It looks like we won’t have our Hayden back for a while yet, by the time she returns to the Port Charles landscape I predict that little Violet Finn will be a troublesome tween or teen and that’s when Dr. Hamilton Finn will need help raising their daughter and maybe, just maybe Hayden will waltz in and save the day.

It’d be nice to focus on a character who isn’t exactly Mob boss related for a while, considering Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is dead and that frees up a lot of other characters and storylines to take the forefront, though, it won’t happen overnight.

The Mafia is still a firm part of the Port Charles landscape and won’t be disappearing anytime soon. Still, there could be room for General Hospital to go back to being about what it was originally written about – the doctor’s lives – just a thought. Stay tuned!!!
