Maurice Benard has created something special on YouTube with Maurice Benard’s State of Mind. The chat has started a lot of conversations among fans about mental health. In fact, there are a lot of fans who would love to see the chat become a TV talk show.

We can think of one thing that would definitely take this show to a whole other level of awareness. And it would be a perfect platform for Britney Spears to tell her story. Here are several reasons why Britney would be well-served by an appearance on the show, as some fans have asked for on Twitter.

    Maurice Benard knows the struggle

First off, Maurice Benard has been very open about spending time in an institution and mental breakdowns. So, a chat between the two could be one of the more gripping and informative ones yet about that side of things. And knowing she’s talking to someone who’s been in that same situation could be a great help in opening up about her experiences.

    Maurice Benard’s vibe

Another reason she should keep Maurice Benard in mind when considering places to tell her story is his vibe. Even when he admits to being nervous about a guest, he still manages to bring the relaxed, fun vibe that helps make the guests comfortable.

We think that would be a huge advantage for Britney, as she seemed very nervous in her Instagram video talking about the conservatorship. And why wouldn’t she be? It’s got to be tough to discuss something that personal, and Benard always brings the vulnerability out in people and shows empathy for his guests.

Maurice Benard and Britney Spears on a mission

Also, the pair shares a mission. While Benard is determined to raise awareness for mental illness, Britney has also said she’s here to be an advocate for people with real disabilities and illnesses who have been abused by the system. So, these missions align perfectly and we think it would be a very important conversation. Just the #FreeBritney movement alone has already empowered people to come out about their own stories, so this could really help their cause, too.

Maurice Benard and a smaller stage

One can’t forget that while his program might not have the reach that an Oprah Winfrey interview or some other big mainstream personality/program, Benard has a real base with this YT show. So, it would be a great way to warm up for more interviews in the future. Give her a comfortable, more intimate situation with a host that’s laid back and who knows what that can do for her? Plus, he usually injects a little humor in somewhere, which will definitely break the ice.

We think Benard would be the most genuine and sincere person in speaking to her about the situation, as he doesn’t seem to be in this for ratings/big headlines. Which, let’s face it, that’s what a lot of the mainstream shows are about and we think she’d deserve a platform that is solely about the mission of awareness and advocacy.
