Someone has some serious explaining to do. There’s a new report that suggests California Governor Gavin Newsom wasn’t in hiding these last two weeks because of “family obligations” but rather because his double jab of the COVID-19 booster made him so sick, he had no choice but to stay at home.
Newsom had to cancel his trip to Scotland and disappeared for nearly two weeks until he finally made an appearance at socialite Ivy Getty’s wedding this past weekend. Here’s what you need to know.
Did Gavin Newsom Just Lie About His Whereabouts For The Last Two Weeks?
Newsom faced criticism in recent days after he abruptly canceled his trip to the COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland, over “family obligations.” Well it turns out that Newsom says he canceled the trip because his four children begged him to stay at home and go trick-or-treating with him and his wife Jennifer Newsom as a family.
Yet one source close to the situation says Newsom kept under the radar because he had a reaction to the shots that left him with muscle weakness and fatigue.
However, Newsom speaking during a visit to a COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Los Angeles, was asked to comment on an article that claimed via an anonymous source that he had a bad reaction to a COVID-19 booster and flu shot within days of each other and that’s why he bailed on the event. He says there’s no truth to the rumors.
“Yeah, well, that’s made up,” Newsom said. “I had absolutely no impact whatsoever from the COVID shot, nor, from the original or the booster. Absolutely none. No fatigue. Even no soreness.”
“These vaccines are lifesaving. These vaccines helped us put a lid on COVID this summer,” he said. “We’re encouraging people to get their booster shots and those that have not gotten immunity through a vaccine, we encourage you to consider that.”
