52 year old Paul Rudd’s obvious deal with the devil has paid off. It is simply not possible he didn’t sell his soul to retain his youthful good looks and People Magazine is finally taking notice.
Yes, finally People Magazine hit the nail on the head and have crowned actor, screenwriter, producer and all round salt-of-the-Earth guy Paul Rudd the Sexiest Man Alive in 2021
Vaxxed, anti-vax, republican, democrat- it no longer matters, the world is finally united because everyone on the planet can agree with the winner…except for maybe the winner himself.
Paul Rudd is People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive… Fans Say “Duh!”
“I do have an awareness, enough to know that when people hear that I’d be picked for this, they would say, ‘What?’ ” the actor told People as they interviewed their 2021 pick. “This is not false humility. There are so many people that should get this before me.”
In the immortal words of Cher Horowitz…”AS IF”! You are, for the first time in your life, Mr. Rudd, wrong.
He did have a little fun with his new title, telling the magazine, “I’m going to lean into it hard. I’m going to own this. I’m not going to try to be like: ‘Oh, I’m so modest’. I’m getting business cards made … I’m hoping now that I’ll finally be invited to some of those sexy dinners with George Timothy Cloone and Brad Pitt and Michael Bakari Jordan. And I figure I’ll be on a lot more yachts”.
It’s not only that Paul Rudd has (soul-selling) good looks, or that he has barely aged since his breakout role as Josh Lucas in the 1995 smash, Clueless. It’s not even that Paul Rudd (yes, he will always get first and last name treatment) is hilarious and talented with great hair. It’s that Paul is universally liked. Fans and co-stars alike praise his humble persona, his positive spirit. His weirdness.
Paul Rudd is a bona fide Good Guy.
You can trust Paul Rudd around your girlfriend. Just don’t expect to trust your girlfriend around Paul Rudd.
Yes, okay, The Worlds Sexiest Man Alive is sexist, can be thought of as demeaning or archaic and often serves more of a purpose to sell magazines as and boost the winner’s career- Paul Rudd’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife is due out next week. But let’s not tug at that loose thread, lets just enjoy what ‘united’ feels like.
Thank you People Magazine, and thank you Paul Rudd’s mama!
