ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has had a lot to deal with. So, it’s understandable that he missed a few details when he returned. Like, how he found Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in the bedroom. Doesn’t scream “business arrangement” to us. But he finally caught on after Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) made a comment about their wedding. Let’s check out what happened and where it might go.

So, Sonny flashed back to finding the newlyweds in the bedroom, which finally registered as weird. After all, why would they be alone in the bedroom if this was just a business arrangement? General Hospital spoilers indicate he decided to get some answers.
He showed up at his office to find Jason putting all Sonny’s things back in order. When Sonny asked about Jason not just using his chair, he replied it didn’t feel right. Given the way Sonny looked and sounded, we think that comment didn’t sit well with him. As Sonny took back his spot in the office, he mentioned having Jason and Carly on his mind. Which led to some hard questions that Sonny wasn’t prepared to hear the answers to. He slammed his fist on his desk after Jason left, and he later asked Carly the same question. Her answer just made it worse, because he will clearly struggle on some level with the idea they were about to be a real couple.

So, Benard has teased a few times that big things will happen when Sonny comes home. And he definitely spoke of betrayal, so we think Sonny will continue to be disturbed by what he learned. We may see a lot of friction in this trio going forward, as well as some hard times for Sonny’s business. This revelation will definitely have an impact on their working relationship. Of course, we see these characters eventually working it out as Sonny and Carly are a big part of the show. As well as their relationship with Jason.

We also feel Ava Jerome (Maura West) is going to make this whole thing even more complicated. It’s clear she doesn’t want Nina to give up. Hence her telling Nina surely the feelings “Mike” (Benard) still live in Sonny to some extent. Obviously, she’s be hoping to get Carly out of the picture and she might get her wish for a while. We think a hurt Sonny who’s still finding his way back after nine months could be vulnerable to those old feelings.
During the scene he and Nina shared, he seemed to have some respect for her when she didn’t cower before him when he laid down his ground rules. In fact, she stood up to him and we got the impression he was slightly amused by that. So, as angry as he might be, there is still that bond under the surface just waiting to come out. Especially since Ava hinted at a future a second time, and you know she’s not likely to give up.
