There’s a new report that says Prince William was left absolutely furious when a secret about Kate Middleton had leaked to the press. In fact, he was left genuinely concerned for his wife. According to royal expert Rebecca England, she says that the future king of England was quite upset when the world found out that they began dating in 2003.
Prince William Was Furious When This Secret About Kate Middleton Got Out
William knew that Kate would end up facing the same kind of pressures he does on a daily basis and that’s why he tried to keep their relationship under wraps for as long as possible. The truth came out though during a ski trip that the couple took together.
Speaking to the 2020 Channel 5 documentary ‘William & Kate: Too Good To Be True’, royal editor Rebecca English put it this way, “Unfortunately for them, a paparazzi photographer took pictures of William and Kate clearly very close on the ski lift together. A red top tabloid newspaper slashed it all over their front page. William was furious, and he was also genuinely worried for Kate and her family about what this would now mean for them.”
Rebecca also talked about the claims that Kate’s mother Carole Middleton had tried to set her up with a prince. She said: “At the time there were a lot of rumours going around that Carole might have tried to orchestrate the relationship by ensuring her daughter went to St Andrews. There was talk of Kate having a poster of William on her wall at her school, Marlborough College.”
Kate Middleton herself has also denied the rumor. Needless to say, Kate did end up marrying her prince charming as she and William tied the knot during their royal wedding in 2011.
