You may want to consider the source on this one but this is the most news the Zodiac Killer case has gotten since it was reopened in 2007. Over the years thousands of people have formed theories about who the Zodiac killer could be but now a group of independent investigators known as Case Breakers feel that they know the true identity of the zodiac killer, though it may have come too late for any justice to be had.

The man in question that is accused is Gary Francis Poste, an Air Force Veteran and a house Painter who lived in Southern California, and died in 2018.

Did they just find the Zodiac Killer?

They are claiming that according to an image found in Poste’s dark room that he had the same sort of scar on his forehead that is often seen in sketches of the killer. They also say that one of the ciphers can be cracked by removing the letters of Poste’s name but we have yet to see any actual evidence of that.

They’re also alleging that a 1966 Riverside murder case that happened hundreds of miles from the other murders was the work of Poste but the Riverside PD has come out and said that the murder of Cheri Jo Bates has been determined to not be the work of the Zodiac Killer. So they may just be reaching on that one.

But they’re not giving up just yet, they are asking the Police to compare a DNA sample from Poste to the evidence gathered from the 1966 crime scene. So far the San Francisco Police has not commented on this at all, because it is an ongoing investigation, so of course they wouldn’t.

The truth is in a case like this, forensic detectives would definitely come in handy because it could help solve the case. But so many times that takes money and resources that Police Departments just don’t have and even if the victims’ families want this done, most of the time they are just regular work-a-day people who don’t have access to that type of thing.l, but maybe this time someone’s hunch will be right and we’ll finally get justice. Stay tuned!!!
