‘Love in Paradise’ Spoilers indicate that, when Arryanna and Sherlon got together, they got together in “vacation world”, meaning, a resort. So when Arryanna came back to Jamaica she expected a certain level of comfort, as did her family.
However, when they got to boyfriend Sherlon’s apartment, they got a really rude awakening. Sherlon said that he had never shown Arryanna his home because he always felt that she would be more comfortable at a resort, and upon seeing where he actually lives, you could see where he would think that. Simply because it is not a resort, it is definitely the “real” side of Jamaica.
‘Love in Paradise’: The “real” Jamaica
The kitchen was basically a nook with a stove and sink in it, no oven, which Arryanna expressed some discomfort at because hey, everyone wants to bake every now and again but I suppose in a place where there’s no AC then an oven wold just make things worse – yeah it looks like there’s no AC, just fans, to speak of, in Sherlon’s apartment.
The living area itself was okay, but there were rat pills everywhere, which is evident that there are mice present – that’s not a good sign. I don’t know how prevalent rodents are on the island, but here in the US if there’s rat pills around, then there is a bigger problem.
There is also the fact that in this new place, Aryanna does not have a bathroom door. Rather, it’s a curtain that you draw and then use the restroom like that. The rest of the bathroom seems okay (at least it’s not like Key’s apartment and you can flush the toilet) but the fact of the matter is, Arryanna needs her privacy.
She’s pregnant and sometimes that comes with weird, gestro-intestinal symptoms as she detailed on the latest episode and when you’re already having those problems, you want privacy. Sherlon’s apartment isn’t really the best place for that.
One thing that gave Arryanna hope about this whole process is that Sherlon has the immigration agent’s business card on his nightstand and she said that gave her hope that he was actually taking this seriously and wanted to come to the United States to be with her. But we’ll see where this leads, seeing as her Mom and sister have left Jamaica now and left Arryanna all alone with Sherlon. Stay tuned!!!
