‘Love in Paradise’ Spoilers indicate Steven set himself up for failure. The morning after the semi-successful dinner that he and Martine had with his family, Martine found a suspicious text on his phone while he was in the shower, a text saying “You up?” she didn’t recognize the number, didn’t know who it was from, but she said when a text comes through like that, usually it’s because the person on the other end wants something and Martine’s right. Also, “You up?” could very well be a euphemism for something, but we’ll leave that metaphor right there.
They were slated to have a pool party with all of Steven’s friends that day and Martine said that after finding the text she really wasn’t in a partying mood, but that she was going to put her feelings aside and just try and put it out of her mind until later. However that didn’t mean that Steven was completely off the hook.
‘Love in Paradise’: Martine’s drinking game
She planned on confronting him later and actually said in her confessional, “He better be ready to deal with me.” in a tone that everyone knew meant business, she was just lying in wait until later. Until everyone had gone home and the festivities were over.
But then, after a few drinks, she suggested that they play a drinking game. The drinking game of “Never have I ever”, you could tell Steven was worried because in his confessional he says that this kind of drinking game often opens up cans of worms and he didn’t want any cans of worms to be opened.
Of course the questions ranged from the wild and wacky, “Never have I ever had a threesome” which, no, Steven didn’t drink to, nor did Martine, but one of his male friends did, to the more time “Never have I ever lied to my significant other.” a lot of people drank to that one. However one question in particular got Martine heated, and that was “Never have I ever cheated on my significant other.” and Steven took a drink.
When Steven’s friends started laughing, Martine walked away, utterly humiliated. Yes, technically he did cheat on her and he was being truthful but they were deriding her right to her face and that really didn’t need to happen. She felt bad enough about it as it was, but after that she said she needed to cool off because she was getting really angry. Who can blame her? Looks like Steven’s going to get it. Stay tuned!!!
