‘Days of Our Lives (DOOL)’ spoilers find that Wednesday, August 11 marks the last time we will see Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady) on our screens…for now.
It is well known that Sami portrayer, Sweeney is not under contract with the soap and her most recent appearance in Salem has been a lengthy one. Unfortunately for fans, that appearance has come to an end.

No need to fear, though, Sami’s departure from Salem will be just as on-brand “Hurricane Sami” as her actions have been while in town, and the actress promises this isn’t the absolute end for the most troublesome of Bradys.
Kicked out of the DiMera manse after EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) learned of Sami’s betrayal with ex-husband Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), Sami won’t get too far before trouble befalls her golden locks…and the rest of her.
Sami will be snatched from the very streets she looks set to live on, but by whom? No one knows and, due to Sami slinking away from the DiMera compound in disgrace, there wont exactly be a large group of folks to notice she’s not around.
It may take until SOARASed son Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) cruises into town in the coming weeks that it becomes evident Sami isn’t just licking her wounds at mama Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) house or even in a seedy room at daddy Roman Brady’s (Josh Taylor) pub. Sami is gone.
But not forgotten.
Sweeney admits she’s having too much fun to leave the soap behind completely, calling her most recent stint “a blast”. She also admitted, “I have other scenes that I’m doing right now, so, you’ll have to see what happens next.”
We’re sure it will have something to do with one very sorry kidnapper.
“Every time I talk to [head writer] Ron [Carlivati], we have a hilarious, great conversation. He has fun ideas for this character, and I enjoy playing them.”
Only time will tell how long Sweeney will be off the canvas, but we can all rest assured that Salem is not shaking ‘Hurricane Sami” just yet!
