Mike Planeta has opened up on his sex life and how it impacted him during his time on The Bachelorette.

Mike, for his part, made major waves on the show when he dropped the news that he was a virgin. This was made even more intriguing, as he revealed that he would not be having sex with any women unless he was married to them.
Such a conservative belief, while not fazing current lead Katie Thurston, did put Mike at a disadvantage compared to the other contestants. After all, Katie was very open about her being sex-positive. However, during an interview on the ‘Talking It Out’ podcast, Mike denied that he was a perfect man.
He said: “I am not some perfect little, like, you know, golden boy. Dude, I am a very flawed human being. Like, I am extremely flawed. I’m very open about this: I may not have had, like, sex, sex, but I’ve slipped up, and I’ve had oral sex.”
Despite Mike’s insistence on his views, he was eliminated from the show. Nevertheless, he has no regrets over the way he handled himself. In fact, he admitted that his beliefs became even more strengthened as it taught him the value of not just sleeping with any woman.
He added: “The two times I did slip up and do those things, Those were things that taught me actually the significance of why I actually was putting sex on such a pedestal.” Naturally, there is always going to be some criticism, though. With Mike, it was no different.
Rather than taking things to heart, Mike addressed why he was so careful to have sex. He outlined how sex is a special bond and a connection that you form with people over time. And just like any other person, it has to be done with the right woman.
He continued: “When people think of somebody waiting, right, they think like, [they’re a] prude or they’re not interested in sex, or they don’t want to have these things.” Mike may have lost out on winning Katie over, but there is no doubt that he will find someone to settle down with.
