We have officially seen it all now! The Peacock streaming service announced that they are making a dating show that is very similar to the Jane Austen book, Pride and Prejudice.

The show is called Pride & Prejudice: An Experiment in Romance. This show will transport the contestants all the way back to when Austen was writing her famous novels. It’s basically a courtship contest of sorts.

There is one lucky lady who will be on the hunt for her duke and there will be plenty of men to choose from. The set has been transformed into a new version of Regency-era England.

New Dating Show: Peacock Announces Pride and Prejudice Show

We will have a castle in the countryside and there will be period-appropriate clothing and dates. We will see carriage rides, archery, and boating expeditions. What more could a fair lady ask for?

The men will handwrite letters to the lady of the castle to try to win her love and attention. The Peacock streaming service is excited about this show and from the rumors about it, we have already seen people going crazy for this theme and Bridgerton-esque idea.

It is still being filmed and produced by Endemol Shine North America. In it made in association with Shine TV and nothing like this has ever been done and this makes Peacock viewers very happy!

The show’s premiere date has yet to be announced, but the website is making us feel as if there will be more than one series of the show.

If ladies and dukes are looking for love, there is a chance for you to apply and perhaps you will end up writing a letter to the woman of your dreams in hopes of wooing her into your heart.

With the popularity of the Bridgerton series, many platforms are trying to cash in on this theme and it looks like Peacock may have an excellent idea with this one! The idea that there could be more than one season is also appealing and gives us hope that we will have a lot more to see!

If you love dating shows, and the Victorian era, this is going to be your new favorite show. We will continue to keep you posted on when it will start streaming on Peacock.

We just know that we will be watching and hopefully, the producers will get this right! There are ways that it could go wrong, but we have full faith in them.
