Rachel Lindsay has confirmed that she will be walking away from her role as a host on the Bachelor podcast.

‘The Bachelor’: Rachel Lindsay Leaves Her Role As Podcast Host- ‘I’ve Been Struggling’

The podcast entitled ‘Bachelor Happy Hour’ focuses on the latest news surrounding the franchise. Rachel had been a mainstay on the show alongside Becca Kufrin. But now she has decided to go in a different direction. In an episode of the podcast, she said: “I’m gonna make this short and sweet. All good things must come to an end. And I feel like certain things run their course, and for me, I have run my course.”

The decision should come as no surprise given the recent few months. Her response to Chris Harrison’s perceived ‘defence’ of Rachael Kirkconnell led to her receiving a lot of unwarranted backlash. A subset of the fans were outraged that Chris walked away when an apology may have sufficed. In response, Rachel had a barrage of abuse on Instagram, which caused her to deactivate the account.

Although she would later return to social media, those memories have continued to haunt her. She added: “I’ve been struggling. That’s no secret, and it’s been really, really hard for me lately, and a lot of the things that we’ve talked about on this podcast are also about taking care of yourself and…your mental health.” Her decision to walk away is totally understandable.

However, it merely highlights the reform needed on the Bachelor franchise. With Chris and now Rachel—both of whom are high profile stars—having walked away, more care is needed behind the scenes. Rachel, though, has not ruled out a return. She continued: “So for me, I just feel like I’ve come to the end of doing the podcast.

“I’m definitely closing the door, but I’m not like locking it and throwing away the key. It’s just, I have to, for me, walk away.” It is time for Rachel to take a deserved break. But with the Bachelor franchise still ongoing, we can expect her to continue contributing to the issues that will transpire. And we are sure that this will not be the last time we see her.
