Say it isn’t so! It’s been announced that ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers find that star Kiara Barnes (Zoe Buckingham) is leaving the hit CBS soap. That’s because she’s taken on a new role on the Fox reboot of Fantasy Island. Kiara is currently wrapping up her run on B&B. Here’s what you need to know.
According to Deadline, Kiara will play the warm and wise Ruby Okoro, a young woman with an old soul. She arrives on Fantasy Island with a terminal illness, but Roarke and the island give her a new lease on life.

Of course, it didn’t take long for her to react to the news on social media. She wrote on her Instagram account, “Soooo…the cat is officially out of the bag! I’m so excited to be joining the cast for FANTASY ISLAND on FOX!!! I’m so grateful for everyone who made this possible. Dreams really do come true. Continue to believe, and you will receive Cheers to a new adventure!”
With that said though, there’s no doubt that her co-stars on The Bold and the Beautiful are surely going to miss her on the show. In fact, Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley Bell had nothing but kind words to say about Kiara.
“It’s been a pleasure having Kiara in the role of Zoe Buckingham on The Bold and the Beautiful,” Bell noted. “I wish her all the best in her future endeavors.” Barnes is expected to air through early July. No announcement has been made about a potential exit or recast of the character.”
