‘Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers for the week of Monday, July 22-Friday, 26 indicate that this week, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) might finally get his comeuppance. While the crafty, conniving groom is moaning over the fact that he thinks he’s surrounded by idiots, in particular a guilt-ridden Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) who wants to tell Hope and ruin his wedding day plans, he doesn’t count on being overheard by anyone. Flo is pretty easy to threaten into silence, it seems, but one of these conversations is overheard by Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) who will probably wonder why his deceased daughter’s name is being brought up. This will prompt Liam to go into P.I. Mode himself, and he’ll be on the right track.

Of course Liam has his work cut out for him because if we recall correctly (and we do), Dr. Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady) was very thorough about getting the correct documents so that Flo would have an easy time adopting out Baby Phoebe/Beth (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez), so it’ll take him quite a while to figure out just what’s going on between Thomas and Flo. But Liam may not be the one to spill the beans after all, and Thomas, as crafty as he is, did not count on one person overhearing that he can’t just threaten into silence or murder – Douglas Forrester. (Henry Joseph Samiri) Did anyone else howl with laughter after reading that passage? Just me? Oh well.

Apparently Thomas got careless during a phone conversation with Flo and didn’t count on the fact that little Douglas was right outside his bedroom door, listening as little kids are wont to do. Thomas gets kind of angry with him asking him “What did I tell you about knocking?!” to which Douglas replies, “I heard you. Beth is alive.” Now, we all know Thomas and we know he’s going to try and convince his young son that he didn’t hear what he thinks he heard and try to pull one over on the kid. But, seriously Thomas, don’t play a playa. Come on folks, this child is the progeny of Thomas and Caroline, if anyone has a chance of outsmarting his Dad and getting away with it – it’s this child!

Thomas will probably end up putting way too much pressure on little Douglas (I hope you have some great medical insurance, Thomas, because the therapy bills are going to skyrocket.) There’s no word yet on whether or not little Douglas will actually be the one to blow this adoption scandal wide open, but oh wouldn’t it be funny if it was? At the same time though, I feel sorry for little Douglas. Looks like there may be a boarding/military school in your future, buddy.
