‘Bold and The Beautiful’: Stars Bid Farewell to Assistant Director
Kaplan started working on the Bold and the Beautiful in 1988. He was first part of the show’s audio department and was a sound engineer from 1988-2010. He would move up quickly on the show and became the assistant director in 2001.

He also did some directing work on the show in 2011 and 2012. This is when he worked on different location shoots as the director. He showed everyone that he could do it and the cast and crew and happy that he is retiring, but very sad to see him leave.
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) Spoilers: Clyde Kaplan’s Lengthy Career in Television
Kaplan is no stranger to hard work in the film and television industry. He worked on Blackout in 1988 and a documentary called America’s Lost Band. He worked with many recording artists as well, such as The Carpenters, Barbara Streisand, and Johnny Gill. He also did post-production audio on the show Solid Gold.
At the party that the Bold and the Beautiful cast and crew help for Kaplan, Edward J. Scott spoke, along with Cindy Popp, who in the soap’s producer and director. Everyone has some amazingly kind words for him and are very sad that he is leaving. Kaplan’s family was excited to pose for some photos with Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester), Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra), Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer), and Darin Brooks (Wyatt Spencer).
This celebration was quite a party and Kaplan was sent off to retirement in a great way. The cast and the crew wish him well with what life brings to him next and we are happy that he was part of the show for so long. The Bold and the Beautiful was made better with him onboard!
