And while it seems like everyone and their mothers will tune in for the special, Brits are showing no interest in it. In fact, one report even suggested that the BBC could care less about airing the interview on its networks for their viewers in the U.K.
However, the sentiment seems to be quite different in the U.S. Many fans seem to suggest Harry and Meghan are doing the right thing by telling their side of the story, regardless of what anyone has to say about it.
Some comments on social media have included, “No one has seen the interview and you are fully prepared to be cynical and petty. You can’t possibly know the people involved and could at least listen before you judge. Harry and Meghan would never insult the royal family,” along with, “Have some compassion for them. Harry feels a need to protect Megan because of what he had to watch his mother go through. We all loved Diana and wish Harry & Megan the best.”
Another royal fan wrote, “Oh, thank God they got away from it all. I’m sure they’ll find life in the Golden State to be simply lovely. She grew up there — and for Prince Harry, what’s not to love? They can peacefully ignore the hatred coming from the UK tabloid culture and just enjoy the best that California has to offer.”
