Jennifer Lopez wants everyone to know that no, she does not get Botox injections to look as young as she does. As a matter of fact, the multi-talented singer and actress is none too pleased over the fact that many critics are calling her a ‘liar’ online simply because they don’t believe that her radiant and young-looking skin is due to good genes and not good doctors. Here’s what she has to say.
Speaking to People Magazine, Jennifer once again affirmed that she’s never gotten Botox nor has she had any work done on her face.
Jennifer Lopez Is Not Lying About Her Botox-Fee Face
“I don’t judge anybody. If you want to do Botox and injectables, that’s fine! But I don’t want people lying on me and saying, ‘Oh, she’s trying to make believe that this stuff works,'” Lopez said in reference to her new beauty line, JLo Beauty.
“No, I’m telling you what I do that works! Please don’t call me a liar. I don’t have to lie about things. I’ve been pretty honest about my whole life,” she added.
Earlier this month Jennifer said that early in her career she did have a boyfriend that tried to encourage her to get Botox.
“I was in my 20s and I was dating this guy,” she recalled. “He went to one dermatologist and I went to another dermatologist. Basically, my dermatologist gave me a great cleanser and some sunscreen and said, ‘If you do this from now on, your skin is healthy, you’re young right now, it’s going to be great.’”
The JLo Beauty founder went on to say, “I didn’t like needles anyway, but the boyfriend’s like, ‘Yeah, you should start it. I do that.’ I was like, ‘No, thank you.’ And I just wonder what would’ve happened to me if I would’ve started Botox at 23, what I would look like right now. My face would be a totally different face today.”
