Jennifer Lopez Wants To ‘Bring People Together’ During Inauguration Ceremony

Despite everything that is going on right now, Jennifer Lopez just wants to bring a little fun and entertainment to the world with the hopes that she can bring people together during her performance at President-elect Joe Biden’s Inauguration at Washington, D.C. on Wednesday. Here’s what you need to know.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) announced last week that Jennifer Lopez, 51, is included on the roster of musical artists for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ inauguration.

Even though she did perform for the Super Bowl last year, Jennifer’s fiancé Alex Rodriguez says that she’s very nervous about this performance as she feels as though she’s got a huge responsibility weighing on her shoulders.

“To think in the span of 12 months she’s done the Super Bowl, New Year’s, and now the inaugural. It’s unbelievable!” Alex Rodriguez said while speaking to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.

“And what’s interesting is she’s most nervous about Washington, D.C., because of the responsibility, and she wants more than anything, like all of us, to bring people together, to inspire. And you know, music and sports does that better than anything,” the former MLB player added.

And while no one knows what Jennifer will sing during her performance, Alex says that it will surely leave everyone at the edge of their seats.

“So you’re going to be surprised. You’re going to love it,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga’s father Joe Germanotta – who made it clear in the past that he is a staunch supporter of outgoing President Donald Trump – says that he is super proud that his daughter will be performing at President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration. Even though Germanotta might not be happy with the results of the election, he is proud of the fat that his daughter will be a part of this very historic event.

“I’m extremely proud that she’s able to participate,” said Germanotta, a New Yorker. “I’m looking forward to watching it. I hope everybody stays happy, safe and it’s a calm day,” and added that he has “normal fears that a father would have any time my daughter performs.”
