‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers have found that Bryan Dattilo has just lost a close family member- his father-in-law Dr. Colonel Andy Cameron.
The Days favorite shared the sad news of his father-in-law’s passing on Twitter, honoring the 74 year old with a photo of the doctor and colonel in full uniform and regalia.

Dattilo captioned the photo: “The world lost a great man. Dr. Colonel Andy Cameron. My father in law. A hero dedicated to saving lives. He [loved] his family, his country, the Dodgers, and Springer Spaniels. In that order.”
Revealed in his official obituary, Dr. Colonel Andy Cameron spent almost three decades as an emergency room doctor. He rose to the rank of Colonel after serving tours in Afghanistan and Iraq as a military doctor.
Dattilo’s comments section was flooded with condolences for both Bryan and his wife Elizabeth Cameron, the Colonel’s daughter. Elizabeth, who he dubbed ‘the most patient woman in the world’ is Bryan’s second wife. This summer they will celebrate 10 years of marriage.
It is a sad loss of a great man, however, Dattilo and family do have much to celebrate as late last year the baby-faced actor became a grandfather! It’s hard for long-time Days fans to accept Bryan is old enough to have grandchildren, even though his on screen persona, Lucas Horton now has two grandchildren.
Lucas’ son Will Horton (Chandler Massey) has a daughter Arianna with ex-girlfriend Gabi Hernandez and his daughter Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) has just given birth to a son, Henry (with a not so great conception story).
