Kalani took to Instagram to share some horrifying news with her fans about her husband, Asuelu. The post appeared on the Instagram account, Rewatch reality.

She wrote, “I’ve had enough of the hate and r*pe/death threats. So, let’s clear some things up: I did not have a one night stand with Asuelu, we didn’t even kiss until two weeks after knowing each other. I met him in July 2016, we intentionally got pregnant in May 2017. I had a second baby because I was held down. He apologized for that, and the other times I was SA- it’s recorded. You can imagine how it feels to get message about “taking responsibility” and learning to keep my legs shut, when they were forced open.”
As soon as this was shared, there were a lot of fans of the show who doubted her claims. There were others who wrote that they felt she should have gotten out of the marriage a long time ago. One wrote, “Oh, just go your separate ways. Why do people act like it’s so hard?”
Another added, “This is horrific. I just can’t imagine the trauma a lot of kids must endure with their parents’ social media rants.” Another added, “So, I’m not really buying this sexual assault claim. They were always acting hot and heavy. I really don’t believe her.”
This all seems like a lot for her fans can handle. It may not be at all what they expected from her since there was a point that they were all so hot and heavy. If these claims are true, it is very upsetting that she never reported it and has continued to stay with Asuelu for so long.
It is apparent that she and Asuelu have parted ways, so we will continue to watch them on 90 Day: The Last Resort. It airs on TLC on Monday nights and is streaming on Discovery+.
