TLC ’90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ Spoilers indicate that Big Ed Brown headed back home to San Diego empty-handed. He was greeted by Teddy (the real MVP here, let’s face it) and his Mom. He had to inform her that “Rose was out”, meaning that they had broken up. In his confessional he said that he felt like a failure and didn’t want to tell people what had happened because of that. But in the car he explained to his Mom in a roundabout way, what went on. He made it mainly about the not wanting to father two more kids issue. Which, I guess is not a lie since it all came down to that in the end and that was the reason why Rose ended up leaving him. He then told his Mom that Rose was not being open about her past.
Of course he didn’t mention the way that he asked Rose for the STD test and he also failed to mention that he humiliated her on several occasion. I guess his Mom already knew that he didn’t want to Father more kids because she didn’t act surprise when he said that he wasn’t even ready to be a father to Prince, much less two more children that Rose wanted. When he asked his Mom if his tale of woe made sense to her, she agreed with him, but what do you really expect, she’s the guy’s Mom after all.
TLC ’90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ Spoilers- So, how did Ed’s Mom really feel about Rose?
But Ed’s Mom said something kind of interested in her own confessional. She said “His situation was kind of scary and there was a lot of doubts in my mind, because how can you fall in love with somebody online?” but that makes you wonder what she really thought of Rose. Even though Ed is his own person, obviously, I mean he’s been married before and it doesn’t look like, until recently that he started living with his Mom again, sometimes Mothers can have more pull in these types of situations than their children let on. Granted, we really haven’t seen more than 10 minutes of Ed’s Mom on screen so we can’t get a good grasp of her personality but perhaps she whispered a few things in Ed’s ear, gave him ideas previously, about how to handle things.
Also, think about it, you have to wonder because even though we saw even less of Stepanka’s Mom on-screen, we still saw the control that Magda had over Stephanie’s life. Steph was so unsure of her Mother’s reaction that she ruined the whole relationship rather than come out to her. Could a similar thing be going on behind the scenes for Ed? Maybe Mom was the one who wanted the STD test, it seems like a Mom thing to do. Maybe his Mom didn’t approve of him going halfway around the world to seek a foriegn wife when I’m sure that there were “nice girls right in San Diego”, I mean, you can imagine the conversations.
Still, at first glance, Ed’s Mom seems nice… but you know what they say, it’s always the nice ones. Will we ever receive any tea on that? I wonder. Stay tuned!!!
