Rose took it upon herself to dump him because she was tired of his lies. The final straw seems to be when he told he that he didn’t want kids. After going on and on about it and telling him that it was her dream to have two kids, he told her that he wanted a vasectomy. Now that he is home, he turns to his mother for comfort.

When Ed got back to San Diego, he knew that he wanted to tell his mother about the break up and his trip. She is waiting for him at the airport with Teddy, his favorite puppy companion. He considered the trip to be a big failure on his part and he didn’t want to tell his mother exactly what happened. He told her that he had a great time and the trip was a lot of fun and very crazy. When his mom asked him what happened, he said, “Rose is out.” That is when he started to cry a little bit. He told her that things were scary and she really wouldn’t understand what happened.

Ed has definitely held a lot of things back from his mother. It will only take her watching the show to learn what he is lying about. Ed knows that his mom will find out everything, but if he wants to keep it from her, only time will tell how she feels about his actions on the show. Ed took it upon himself to embarrass Rose in front of millions of viewers. He told her that her breath was not pretty and gave her the gifts of dental hygiene products. He did tell his mother that Rose wouldn’t open up about her past. However, he did not tell her that he asked her to take an STD test. Ed may continue to keep these secrets from his mother, but the truth always comes out.
Recently, Ed has taken it upon himself to completely wipe out bullying. After one of his favorite Japanese wrestlers took her own life because of cyberbullying, he is now on a mission to make it stop.
