In part one of season 7 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Tell All, the host Shaun Robinson announced that Rayne Fernandez & Chidi Ikpeamaeze would not be appearing for unknown reasons.
Rayne, a chicken farmer from New Mexico, dated Chidi from Nigeria through social media. For a little while, Rayne had no idea that Chidi was actually blind, but still accepted him.
When the couple met in person in Nigeria for the first time, many issues would transpire. Rayne was deeply frustrated by Chidi wanting to wait till marriage to have sex. They also couldn’t share a room because of Chidi’s religious beliefs.
Rayne’s irritation only increased when she felt that Chidi’s sister was overstepping when it came to decision-making. In the end, Rayne ended up accusing Chidi of only dating her for a green card which ended their relationship.
90 Day Fiancé: Rayne’s Reason for Not Being in The Tell All
Rayne had actually posted about not being invited to The Tell All back in October of 2024. 90 Day blogger Shabooty reposted Rayne’s explanation from her private Instagram account. In Rayne’s message, she claims that TLC disliked the negativity in her and Chidi’s segments.
“I was planning on performing don’t forget about us by Mariah Carey at the Tell All…But luckily we were both Uninvited due to all the negativity.” She also states that despite her plan to sing, she was told “last minute” that she wasn’t allowed to.
However, Shabooty makes some great points against Rayne’s reasoning for the lack of invitation. Referring to Rayne’s negativity, “But isn’t that usually a reason to be on the Tell All? TLC loves explosive negativity…” Shabooty theorizes that TLC knew how much Chidi and Rayne fought and didn’t want the Tell All to get out of hand.
Commenters in Shabooty’s post compare Rayne and Chidi to the explosive Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi. “They uninvited her but not Angela for YEARS???” says one user.
Another brings up how infamous Angela was and that TLC likely doesn’t want another version of her on the show. “I feel like after all the backlash with Angela and Michael TLC might try changing things.”
90 Day Fiancé: Our Thoughts on Rayne & Chidi’s Uninvitation
Despite Rayne claiming that Chidi is spreading hatred and lies towards her, he seems to be living his own life away from TLC. Instead, he is more focused on gaining support from his followers to get help for cataracts and glaucoma.
Many 90 Day fans helped donate to his GoFundMe to give the support he needs for his health. This alone goes to show who 90 Day fans support the most and for good reason.
It isn’t far-fetched to call Rayne the new Angela Deem. Rayne was extremely short-tempered with Chidi whenever things didn’t go her way. She came off as controlling and disrespectful towards him and his religion.
She never bothered to take the time to understand Chidi and constantly opposed his family who offered space in their home to her. While it may have been hilarious to see a tearful Mariah Carey cover performance from a delusional Rayne, I don’t want to see Chidi have to suffer more of her presence.
